Slope Stabilisation & Retaining Wall Reinstatement

This Titirangi retaining wall reinstatement and ground stabilisation project was carried out on a steep bank where ground movement was threatening the house and reducing usable space on the property.
The work was necessary to help stabilise the slope, protect the house from further movement, and regain the parking area. Due to the challenging ground conditions, the project involved 6m deep, 450mm piles, with a hit-and-miss drilling method used where appropriate.
Around 20m³ of concrete was pumped from the road above, allowing the retaining system to be constructed safely and efficiently despite the difficult access and steep terrain.
